    Grapeseed Oil...

In soap, I can't tell a difference. In body butter's, oil and scrubs it s a great oil because it obsorbs quickly. In any product grapeseed oil is suppose to help strengthen blood vessels and has antioxidant properties. It's particular value is part of an eczema moisturizing treatment because it...

    Crumbly Soap

I never stir. I bring to trace and then turn my cp on low, put the lid on and leave it alone! When the island disapears I let it cook about 10 min. longer, do a zap test. If it still zaps I cook another 10 min. and test again. untill I no longer get zapped. It may very well be over cooked...

    Soap Blogs

I have a blog. I love it! I just love putting stuff up and talking about soap and different things. I do use it to sell via my Artfire store. But I also have a little bit of info on soap. They are super easy to set up and use. Give it a try I think you will really have fun with it!

    glycerin question

Why would you want to put glycerin in soap? Soap makes it's own glycerin. The only time I have used it is when I was making cphp and discounted the water.

    Is this just my imagination?

I notice in a 'fresh' batch of soap that hp's later is better. But...give that CP long enought and you can't beat the lather:)

    :)

I personally add about 1 Tbs. ppo when using cocoa butter or other oils. (others may do differently) I also use 1 Tbs. PPO of powdered sugar. You can incorporate any kind of sugar. Some use reg. sugar disolved in the lye. Honey is considered sugar. I usually don't superfat with oils anymore...

savondebilal I have that same box! fixed up the same way!!! lol, cept mine has co. name on it instead of Olive Oil Anyway, Kitn mentioned sugar possibly cutting back on the slime issue. I would have to agree. My OO soaps are not slimy and I always add sugar. I add sugar to every bar I make.

    GM soap

I couldn't find a pic of CPCHP but I found this CP that I did a white swirl in, added GM at trace and the sponification process did not turn it dark. Thats why I add mine at trace, so it doesn't turn dark. But, If I am making 100% GM soap, that takes practically all day. I freeze the GM add lye...

    GM soap

I love to do GM HP. I use liquid GM, but you could use powder mixed with a tiny bit of water. If your going with the 38% water (which I suggest you do) then just add a TBs. or two of water to the powder, mix well. I add my GM at the end of the cook....like you are SF'ing.
