Hi. I saw glycerin today at walmart that said 99.5 % Would that work in soap and or coloring or not? Thanks.

Why would you want to put glycerin in soap? Soap makes it's own glycerin. The only time I have used it is when I was making cphp and discounted the water.

OIC, after you mentioned mixing color, I remembered I use to, a long time ago, mix glycerin and T.D.

When I first started out,I found a rebatch recipe with glycerin&rosewater added,so figured I could just go ahead & add it straight up.Not really necessary as I discovered, but it does make a gorgeously silky smooth soap.Leaves you feeling not quite dry, sorta 'dewy'.Beautiful on dry/chapped hands,& my mum(dry, delicate 76yo skin that breaks & bruises with the slightest bump) loves it.Only make it esp. for her now.
