Tusen takk is Norwegian for "thank you very much" (literally "a thousand thanks") and I tend to use it when saying "thank you" isn't enough. 'Preciatecha!
I worked with a lovely young Swedish woman a few years ago and she taught it to me. My background is Dutch and I could understand a lot of what she said when she spoke in Swedish. It was fun.

Last night, I made a batch of lotion concentrate for the first time in over a year. I can't find my notes, but it certainly didn't go the way the pictures on the PDF show. I had to start mixing or it wasn't going to be possible because the top layer was very hard (I had to break it up) with soft oils underneath.

I made a tiny tester batch of lotion bars, following @Zing's recipe he so generously shared with us. I discovered I was out of jojoba oil, and I hate olive oil on my skin, so I used coconut oil and mango butter. I'm looking forward to trying it with a more suitable oil, but it seems really nice so far.

I made a big batch of Lip Serum using the DIY recipe - 30 pots of .5oz. Colored with just a hint of BB Rose Gold Mica and used a bit of Vanilla Mint Flavor oil. Tomorrow will be the Fruit Smoothie Lip Scrub from the same e-book. Love these recipes! I’ll package them together and it’ll make great stocking stuffers & little gifts

So my two kiddos didn't have a lot of feedback on my premier shampoo bars but Mrs. Zing likes it -- she feels like her hair isn't coated and heavy and that it's more manageable. I also gave a bar to the next door neighbors asking them to be beta testers and today I got a long text with a lot of detailed info, so that was awesome. It's a hit, thanks to @Misschief .

I made a batch of lavender lotion bars. This week is gonna be lotion bar week for this guy.

Made and tried an overnight hair mask from swiftcraftymonkey. Don't think I've ever felt my hair this soft! Definitely something I'll keep doing every other week or so!
Like @Zing I have the ingredients for shampoo and conditioner bars and I'm tempted to make them after hearing of his success...
Do it! I've been using shampoo bars for several years now and my hairdressers always comment on how healthy my hair is.

Same here! Go, @bookworm42, go!!

The bath and body marathon for our Ladies' Christmas Boutique is in full swing at my house. Yesterday was lotion day: thirty-five small bottles, all labeled and ready to go. I hope to circle back to do a few more batches next week as time permits.

Meanwhile, today I made five batches (10 jars per batch) of emulsified sugar scrubs (from the DIY Bath & Body recipe, of course). Each batch had a different scent and color; they are all labeled and done. These scrubs are super popular at the boutique, and typically generate additional orders for people to give as Christmas gifts.... so I also made another 3000g of the base to have on hand for after the boutique.

Tomorrow afternoon will be lip balms, lotion bars (in mini-deo twist tubes), emulsified lip scrubs, and wax melts. If all goes smoothly, shower steamers are a possibility, too. Right now I'm collapsed on the couch though. 🤪

I think I'm the only one who didn't have success with the DIY B&B pourable shampoo bar recipe and I never attempted her conditioner bar because of it. It dried my hair out so bad INSTANTLY that I thought my hair was gonna fall out. And putting a brush or comb through it wasn't even in the realm of possible. I tried the recipe several times with the same results until I eventually just gave up on the idea. Thinking about it now, I'm guessing I might not be the best candidate for shampoo bars since my hair is longer than most.

I do like DIY B&B's lotion recipe, though. Today, I made a small batch of lotion using a new scent that everyone I've let smell are absolutely in love with. Once I remember exactly what ratio of concentrate to water I prefer (I can't find my notes on this anywhere), I'll make a bigger batch to bottle and label for Christmas gifts.

So exactly how many hours are in your day over there?!

The real question is... how sore are my feet and my back! 😬

@Servant4Christ I'm so sorry the pourable shampoo recipe didn't work for you. I love it, but I also must use the conditioner bar afterwards, or I get dry hair and tangles, for sure.

Even if you don't want to try the shampoo bars + conditioner bars, maybe still give the conditioner bars a try on their own. Hair conditioner is really another form of lotion - just firmer, like a lotion bar. And if you don't like it on your hair, you can still use it on your skin in the shower. :)

I second that ~ my hair is long and baby fine and using just a shampoo bar is horrible. It strips my hair and it just turns into a tangled mess that I can't even get my fingers through. However, I use a very rich and nourishing conditioner that I leave in for the duration of my shower and when I rinse that out, my hair is super soft and all the build-up has been removed, so my hair is light and clean 🥰

What scent did you use, @Servant4Christ? I think my favorite so far has been BB Apricot Freesia.

Nurture's Orange + Ginger. It is very unisex, light, and clean. Seriously, everyone I've had smell it is absolutely crazy about it and asking how soon I'll have soap available in this scent. I'd like to pair a foaming liquid soap and lotion set with this fragrance for my best friend's upcoming birthday in January. That's why I've been really trying to perfect my foaming hand soap recipe as well as remember (or find my notes for) what ratio of lotion concentrate to water I prefer. I've also got to figure out how to package and label them both. I am so not good at figuring out packaging/labeling.

Best of intentions... I shoulda made lip balms today, but I only wanted to make lotions... so I did. We have:

Tropical Lavender: BB's Coconut Cream FO blended with lavender EO 40/42. I love this but have to bottle it fast because the coconut gives me a headache.

Rose & Lavender: Bouquet of Roses FO, lavender EO 40/42. and a titch of cedarwood EO (to tone down the floral-ness)

Plumeria Musk: Candle Science's Plumeria mixed with their Hardwood Musk.
