Thread for Soap on a rope

Morning Soap friends! I am looking for a vegan/natural thread to use for soap on a rope. Ideally I would like the thread to be slim and used again after as a bracelet or necklace. Does anyone know what fabric is stable/water resistant enough to withstand being around water for a while? What do you use generally for soap on a. rope? Thank you so much for you answers!

Any corded material would most likely work. But for reuse 550 parachute cord. Would be something to look into. See bracelets made from it.
