SMF September 2024 Challenge - Feathered Mantra Swirl

I know the challenge is over, but...I thought I would share this since I shared my failed attempts and have been so baffled by this particular challenge. Early yesterday I made a batch of soap, poured the colors back into the main pot in the stacked circle pattern from one of the videos. I poured that into the loaf mold and as an after thought decided to run the handle end of my wooden spoon through the batter as we had done in the feathered mantra swirl. Just a bit ago, I unmolded the loaf and cut the first 6 bars like I normally would.
Then I got to wondering what it would look like with the horizontal cut.....so I turned the last chunk of the loaf over for that cut -
.... the closest thing I got to the feathered mantra swirl yet. It's not quite there, BUT I really like the way it looks. Thank you @Mobjack Bay for the challenge! My brain is stretching.....

Oh my land, both those cuts are beautiful! I really like your colors, too. I've only got 5 bushels of apples left to process - hoping to get 3 done today - and then.... Soapmaking has been calling me. I can't wait to get a bunch made for Christmas gifts!
Thanks for the kind words and for sharing pics of your soap. I love the fall colors. The combo of the layered pour, feathered mantra swirl and horizontal cut produced gorgeous soap!

Wealth, not wreath. She has an abundance of apples that are being processed right now. Lots and lots of apple goodness. I'm doing the same, but not THAT many!
Sheesh, that’s what I get for reading on my phone without my cheaters on. 
This is the amount of apples we have been processing every day. About 18-20 quarts of applesauce, 6-7 quarts of apple butter and about a gallon bag of dehydrated apples.
My daughter helped me make an apple wreath, just for you, AliOop! Too bad I don't have a creative bone in my body, or I could have made a pretty one for you that you could see on your phone, cheaters or not!

Great news - our second bin of apples has been delayed a couple weeks, so I just *might* have time to make a couple batches of soap before it comes!

I took one last stab at it and everything went wrong. Everything. But, I had fun
Everything came to thick trace quick fast and I'm a hurry. I used jasmine and gardenia fragrance oils mixed with lavender essential oil.
My orange did a thing where it oozed the yellow I was looking for for a mango scented soap

@justsomeguy The colors are so pretty, but those floral fragrances will get you every time!
I've read that here. And thought I would be okay. Then, blam!
