I love the texture and feel of my lip balm formulation and so do my customers.. it would be fine in a jar, but on polling my customers they prefer twist tubes ! but I'm having an issue with them not being able to twist the balm down once it's twisted up. My initial reaction would be to increase the beeswax or the coco butter to make them a bit harder but before I do that I just thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else has had this problem and how you've overcome it, maybe it's in the way I pour? maybe I should pour and hold and pour again? any suggestions gratefully accepted :)

Here's my formulation

17% Shea
17% Coco butter
15% Beeswax
51% oils (various)

Flavoured/scented with an eo @ .5% which is already itself suspended 5% in oil. so very low just enough for a subtle flavour :)

You need to increase your beeswax to a minimum of 25%.... that is way too soft.

ok tks Lindy, I'll try that, I've never used 25% beeswax I prefer a creamier feel but if that's what it takes for the twist tubes then I prob have no choice :)
