    Sodium lactate in store

Salt is the one that acts kind of like sodium lactate. Yes, it can be table salt. It does harden the soap but it doesn't behave the same way as sodium lactate. Not exactly. Sodium lactate can also be used in other things. Sugar will give you more bubbles. It will also produce more heat so it can...

I don't know, I saw a place on reddit talking about how it's the official all clad seconds sales website but I don't see anywhere that it says that.

    AllClad stick blender on sale

Be sure to read the small print on that link. Scroll down. Doing this agrees that you will not take part in any kind of lawsuit. And it mentions that these may not have the all clad identification on them. The internet says the site is legit just be careful.

Opinions on Gift Basket creation for Christmas sales?

I've been trying to decide what to do. A couple years ago, I did one that was all cookies. It had a bar of soap, 2 different flavors lip balm, a bath bomb, a lotion, shampoo and conditioner. They sold very well. This year, I want to do one with a soap, two flavors of lip balm, two bath bombs...

Ideas on how to label "sections" of product at market?

I have price signs but nothing that says "Bath Bombs", "Soap", "Body Butter" etc. To show you what things look like on my tables, I'm going to attach some pictures. These are copies from a video I posted today so it's not clear but you can get the drift. How would you label these so that the...

Question: is this a good idea

I guess it depends how you calculated the original recipe. As long as you didn't add the superfat until the end maybe? I wouldn't make a recipe this way.

    Hurricane Milton

I don't know how you're doing it. The stories we've been hearing on the news are pretty bad. I'm glad you're all ok though.

    Cure time

Cure time doesn't change. It will be four to six weeks. If you wait to cut it into bars, it will be too hard to cut if it's cold process. We tend to use log and loaf interchangeably. You may like to make hotel sized bars, or you can create thin slices yourself. If you leave the people to do...

    Hurricane Milton

I don't know why anyone would hunker down for this Hurricane. It's going to hit like a freight train. I live near New Orleans but don't have family or friends in Florida. We evacuate at cat 3 no matter what. Only people that live in these areas would understand having to prepare every year for a...

I just went with makesy because this is what they do so it would seem odd for it to be wrong.

    Shea butter smells weird?

It might have gone rancid. Shea butter smells terrible honestly, but if it doesn't smell like it should, it may have gone bad.

Best mixer for whipped body butter

I have a kitchenaid mixer. They're expensive though. My husband got it for me a couple years ago for my birthday. I never thought I'd be excited for a mixer lol.
