Try rubber-banding a test tube to the side of the jar. Then you can just drop the pipette into the test tube and not have to deal with the bands.

Update: it was not fully incorporated! The appearance is mottled and I got my first positive zap test (did not enjoy) from one of the lighter spots close to the surface. Guess now I get to learn how to rebatch!
I remember using those in the lab back when I first started. They do break easily. We never reused them, just tossed them after one use. With them being so thin at the end, do you ever have trouble with liquids/oils that you're pipetting being too thick?
I know, I know, that's the oldest and most tired joke in the (soaping) world, but it lives on in my house, as my fifty-going-on-twelve-year-old husband laughs every time I say "masterbatch." Double entendres then ensue. We are children.
Honestly, I don't used them all that often. I haven't had any issues so far, though. I buy the plastic pipettes 300 at a time and I prefer those.

I'm making soap for a couple of upcoming Weddings and have been wracking my brain on how/what to do with getting names/dates on the soap. Two days ago a friend of mine solved my dilemma! She recommended waterslides! I've never thought about waterslides on soap, but looks like others have done it successfully so going to give a try. Spent part of the day today helping my friend design (she is the creative one) and making soap to put it on!

I only found a few people who had used waterslide decals on soap, but nothing showing or saying anything specific. I've not tried it yet, I am waiting impatiently for my paper to arrive. The friend who suggested it and then made the decals for me does a ton of crafting, including acrylic resin so she uses waterslides a lot.
I'm told that they will just slide off during the first use, but not sure if they will dissolve or not. I plan on playing this week so I'll report back.

Oh, you're right! I even have some of the embed paper. I bought it originally to make tiny soap strips for travel, camping etc., just never got around to doing it yet. The to-do list just seems to grow without every shrinking. lol I might have to give that a try if the waterslides are a bomb. Thanks for the suggestion!
