Thank you!I really like it! I thought it was a rose before I read your post. I like that it is kind of abstract and that the stem is incorporated in the soap and that the bloom is drawn on.
@VikingChick Yeah, but still gorgeous! I had a spin swirl fail today; it turned into a chopstick figure-8 instead. We shall see tomorrow what it is. What was the naughty fragrance? So I was trying to do a spin swirl, and 4 of my 5 colors decided to accelerate! I had my soap batter at such a nice thin trace…..and then that dang FO accelerated, even though it wasn’t supposed to. I do know it was the FO because the white batter that had none kept a lovely thin trace for quite a while.
But regardless of my failed technique, I wanted to show these off, because overall, I actually really like how they turned out! And the naughty FO does smell good.
It was Awaken from NS. I’ve had this bottle for a while and the label says to use at up to 6%. I used it at 5%. Right before I made it, I looked up reviews to see if anyone had had experience with acceleration or discoloration, only to find that it’s no longer recommended for CP soap (there were no CP reviews; I imagine they’ve been removed). I’m not sure why they no longer recommend its use for CP but am guessing it has to do with the new IFRA usage rates and the amount it would take to actually have any scent in the finished product. But I’ve soaped with it before, I don’t have sensitive skin, and I don’t sell, so for my personal use I’m not too worried about it.What was the naughty fragrance?
