Good luck everyone! I can’t wait to see what you all come up with.

Here is my (very basic) entry, which was created using an inexpensive impression mat from Michaels. It was a little too wide for my mold, but I didn't want to cut it. Instead, I wrapped it up one side of the mold just a bit. If I had time to try again, I would have centered it in the bottom of the mold and had two rounded edges instead of one. I also would have experimented more with using a fork to create a knitted texture, which was a lot of fun! But, I'm in the midst of a rather long trip, so this was all I had time to do. As you can see, it was photographed while still soft, and with the vanillin discoloration rind from the OMH FO just beginning -- and while the car was packed and DH was waiting for me to get in so we could leave on our trip. 😁 I think it looks like pound cake! 😋😋

This is definitely the most involved soap I have ever made. I used Moroccan red clay for the dark portion, uncolored for the cream portion and a combination of red and French pink clay for the middle color. My recipe is high tallow and lard, 100% goat milk soap. It is scented with Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Cedarwood and Clove bud essential oils for a subtle Christmassy smell.

The soap was made in a 4" (1#) loaf mold, and I used a single wire cutter to make the embeds. I used small pieces of embeds as spacers to help keep my embeds straight. You can see them in the third picture in the bottom bar.

This was definitely a very challenging challenge for me, but it was fun to try something outside my comfort zone and skill level. Thank you, @Vicki C for hosting the challenge, and thank you everyone who helped me along the way!

Here’s my entry, I used soap dough for the yarn/knit pattern and placed it on top of the soap after pouring it in the mold. It is scented with smoothly lemon EO blend from EOcalc which is a favorite of mine. Colors for the layers are natural, Sunburst Mica and Granny Smith Green mica.
Thank you @Vicki C for a great challenge that made me think outside the box (mold).

Well here my entry. It was at the very least a great learning experience! So thanks for this fun challenge.

I wanted a scrubby soap so I added poppy seeds and with the vanilla fragrance it came out smelling like a Costco poppy seed muffin.

And here are all my left over bars. Guess I get to make another batch or some nice ciaglia soap.

And finally my brown going through gel!
