Recipe requires CPOP?

So in the recipes section here, there is a lemon coconut cream recipe, and the instructions tell you to CPOP at the end. It also requires that you add sugar to the lye-water, does anyone know why that would be?

Anyways, do I HAVE to CPOP it? I'd prefer to just CP it, because I'm comfortable with that method. Thanks!

Sugar in the lye water helps boost lather a bit.

You can process the soap however you're most comfortable. The soaper who came up with the recipe happened to like that method.

Thank you Mike! I was worried that maybe the coconut cream did something that necessitated the CPOP method. I will make this (the CP way) tonight!

Also I've heard that sugar in the lye water will help keep the soap more fluid when doing the cphp method...
