I recently made a dozen, 1-oz tins of lip balm that took 2 TBSP of honey. Again, a small amount, and I've been seeing that there is danger of it spoiling due to some water content in honey, but it works and tastes great.

Layer finely chopped onion (garlic, ginger, etc.) and honey in a jar. Repeat layers until you’ve made as much as you want. Cover and let sit for 24 hours; strain. Keep in fridge. Will keep a long time.
My Grandmom's mix: in a large jar put in 2 to 3 fingers of lemon juice, add in honey to 2 fingers from the top. Mix well with a slotted plastic or wooden spoon. Add in some diced Ginger root, mix well and add the strained mix to your warm tea. Make it so sweet you almost can't drink it. I use Susie sliced ginger.
