Methinks olive oil prices are coming down!!!!

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Walmart has a price drop on their brand, and our Kroger has 16oz for $7.50!

Yes, it looks like they've slightly come down. Sams is still the same price though.

Hubby had to go to Costco today so I had him check the price. The 2 3-liter bottles were priced at $48.99. I haven't checked the price for a very long time so I'm not sure if the price has come down or not. I now treat my OO like a luxury oil, and use in small amounts if at all. I sure hope the price is starting to drop.

I noticed the last time I was at Costco that OO was quite a bit cheaper than AO, so I do think it is coming down -- unless AO is going up?

Sadly, it’s actually went up a bit here
Costco doesn’t even sell it as a two pack of 3 liter bottles anymore here. One 3 liter bottle was 27.99 in January, and now it’s 30.99 - fingers crossed for the future.

I buy a litre for $NZ18.49 ($US10.50). I can't find any bigger bottles than one litre in NZ.

Walmart here (New Hampshire, US) has come down from $34.97 to $29.97 for 101 ounces.

I thought the olive oil prices were crazy high when I was Costco the other day, but “global price” has been coming down according to the US Federal Reserve, link. This website shows declining prices for olive oil from Greece and Spain, but not Italy and also forecasts continuing price drops. I wonder how tariffs will impact the prices of oils and other supplies

I wonder if Costco has inventory purchased at a higher cost, and if the price there will come down once that supply is gone. One can only hope. As for the impact of tariffs, I guess we will be finding out
