Dumb thing to do...kind of funny though

I usually try to keep food-molds and soap-molds separate, FO does tend to stick behind depending on the type; If you insist on using the same cookware, I would advise you to make a weak bleach solution and soak the molds in it to lose anything that was left behind :)

How much water is lost during curing---ANSWERED

I mostly just use soapmaker3 so it does all that for me :) "easy button" ??? lol... but yes its about 2:1 H20:NaOH ratio :) now as far as weights, how long after pouring are you basing your % loss off of? Keep in mind this bar is a little under a year old :P

alright... shave soap in the mold :)

Going to let it gel completely (I think it went through gel phase faster than other soaps I have made) It seemed to trace nearly immediately, then stay at a pudding-like consistency for a bit, I had to re-heat it a bit to incorporate more of the sugar (again from my stupid laziness tonight... lol)

How much water is lost during curing---ANSWERED

Alright, so I have an experiment I have been conducting since 3/23 (yes thats right almost one year!!!) The recipe is with a 6% superfat, and was a 1lb recipe... so ... for a bar that started out at 114.8grams, it now weighs 97.7 grams, meaning it has lost just about 15% worth of water weight...
