It's always fun to see what other people are having for dinner.

This is chicken fried rice (homemade) with store-bought potstickers, and Pot de Creme which comes out of the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook which I'm currently trying to make my way through. Well, the desserts and baking at least. I was watching TV and had company so that is a collapsible table in front of a recliner. Don't judge me to harshly.

We’re eating one of our favorite soups - a version of Soupe au Pistou - made with tomatoes, zucchini, onions, garlic, turnips, carrots, potatoes, cannellini beans and pasta. I serve it topped with pesto rather than the French pistou because I always have pesto in the frig. Sourdough bread on the side!

We had fish with roasted cherry tomatoes, shallots, and garlic. Our local grocery store sometimes has whitefish that they sell as chowder fish for $4/pound - I’m a cheapskate and didn’t want to spend $14/pound for cod. It was delicious.
I’ve been cooking more since the start of the new year - up through December was crazily busy, so I too am happy to get some inspiration!

No judgement here, we always eat in front of the tv. Your fried rice looks yummy.

Everyone’s dinners sound great. Our daily challenge is “what’s for dinner?”. This really helps with ideas.

Tonight we are going out for pizza.

I don't particularly enjoy cooking, but the hardest part of dinner is deciding WHAT to make.

I gave some ground goat meat to a neighbor the other day, and today she brough us some Bolognese sauce she made with it. So tonight, it's spaghetti! Easy-peasy!

Yes! The WHAT to make is the hardest part. When I was single and cooked easy stuff for myself and occasionally cooked for others I enjoyed it. Now it’s just a chore. It’s been 18 years since the single days.

There's a local place by us that does premade frozen crockpot dinners. Every 4-6 months we usually buy a pack which has 10 meals (they rotate every month). They make for a great I don't know what to cook dinner. Then the only thing we need to make is rice/potatoes/buns and some veggies.
That's what's for tonight. Apple cider pork roast with mashed potatoes and whatever streamable veggie is in our freezer.
