Last time I made a bar of soap, they still sold Red Devil at the grocery store. Now that that's not an option, is there anywhere I can buy it without having to order online? Like Home Depot? Thanks for your suggestions!

Lowe's used to have "Roebic crystal drain opener", that's 100%pure lye in 2 lb containers. The store near my house doesn't carry it anymore, but nobody knows if it's a store only decision or if the company phased it out. If you have a Lowe's nearby, check it out.
Otherwise, I bought my lye last time at ACE hardware. The brand is "Rooto-Crystals of household 100% lye drain opener", and comes in a plastic 1 lb container.
However, pound per pound, the ACE brand is more expensive than the Lowe's one.

i looked everywhere, got it at ace, its 100% lye.

My local True Value hardware store stocks lye, it's in the drain opener section of the store, it is 100% lye.

Lowe's not carrying Roebic is is a nationwide decision. They don't carry at mine anymore either and they said it's because Roebic raised their prices.
