Best of intentions... I shoulda made lip balms today, but I only wanted to make lotions... so I did. We have:

Tropical Lavender: BB's Coconut Cream FO blended with lavender EO 40/42. I love this but have to bottle it fast because the coconut gives me a headache.

Rose & Lavender: Bouquet of Roses FO, lavender EO 40/42. and a titch of cedarwood EO (to tone down the floral-ness)

Plumeria Musk: Candle Science's Plumeria mixed with their Hardwood Musk.

Those look great, @AliOop!
What colorants are you using? I’ve been happy with the liquid colorants from WSP, and I am really liking that peachy color you have there.
Lip balms are on my list for one night this week, too. Didn’t have the energy to do them yesterday….

Thanks @dmcgee5034! I use micas because that's what I have on hand. But I'd love to explore liquid colorants, so I appreciate the recommendation for the WSP product and will add that to my wish list. :)

For these particular batches, most of the color comes from the red palm oil that I used to make the lotion base concentrate. The concentrate is fairly bright orange, which was disconcerting at first, but it lightens considerably to a pale peach color when the lotion is made. TBH, I'll be glad when this batch of concentrate is all used up, so I can go back to starting with a white base. Meanwhile, I do try to change the color of each batch just a bit, based on what scent was used. For instance, the bottles shown in the picture (n my last post, from bottom to top have yellow mica, red mica added, and TD.

@Servant4Christ If you want to buy in volume, SKS Bottle has good prices and lots of options to find things that work together as a set. Their shipping has always been reasonable and fairly quick, but they are out of a lot of things right now. WSP has some great sale prices right now, and their shipping has improved greatly, so that's another good place to look for a foamer pump and lotion bottle that will look like a set. The things I try to match are the color of the bottle, the color and style of the top, and whether the top is smooth or ribbed. I prefer smooth because it's easier to clean, but right now I'm not seeing those in the lotion bottles. Examples of ones I've used and like from WSP:

I use a very rich and nourishing conditioner that I leave in for the duration of my shower and when I rinse that out, my hair is super soft and all the build-up has been removed, so my hair is light and clean 🥰
Are you using the conditioner bar in place of using shampoo, @Shelley D ? I’ve been using a cowash on my very fine colored hair most of the time, with only occasional shampoo and conditioner. I’ve wondered about using a conditioner bar with no shampoo component. If that’s what you’re doing, I’ll have to try it. My mom and sister, who have extremely fine thin hair, would also be interested.

To be honest, I'm probably breaking some sacred rules written somewhere or cheating, whichever way you want to look at it.
The weird thing is, I thought I had for sure started getting my eczema on my scalp or maybe scalp psoriasis or something because I was getting itchy patches that had a bumpy texture that I could feel (hard to see certain parts of my scalp), and it would get flaky if I scratched it. So I went to the dermatologist and she prescribed a shampoo that was basically antibacterial/antifungal 🙄 When that ran out I knew how to take care of it myself ~ coconut oil and tea tree EO twice a week, easy peasy ~ but messy. I put some tea tree on the itchy spots, then massage coconut oil over my scalp. When I get in the shower, I use whichever soap bar I have in there and scrub it over my scalp until it makes bubbles and work the lather around a minute to get the oil out of my hair and then rinse ~ which is when it feels stripped and tangled so I don't try to run my fingers through it or anything, just squeeze it out until there's no more bubbles. For a conditioner, I do cheat and use Wen cleansing conditioner and I work that through my hair, then use a silicone scrubbie thing to work it through to my scalp, then twist it up in a clip and rinse it out after I finish the rest of my shower. At which point, it rinses clean and smooth, I can run my fingers through it and comb it with no problems after toweling dry.
So that's my whole routine ~ it's part homemade soap, part commercial product. My scalp issue isn't eczema or any type of allergy, my scalp is just rebelling against skipping days between washes ~ dang muscle weakness is affecting my arms now, not just my legs. 😕🤷🏼‍♀️
But in doing this I have learned that the lye soap does wonders for stripping out the build up in my hair from this Florida "reclaimed" water 😆 It gets my hair super clean! More than with the Wen alone, that's for sure!

@Shelley D, I’ve been using a similar cleansing conditioner by Renpure for my cowash in place of shampoo! I usually follow up with a regular conditioner on the ends after. Great minds, eh? 😉

I just discovered my Renpure product is no longer available through Amazon, and I’m about to run out. 😔 Time for an Internet search for Renpure or I’ll need to make my own again. Maybe something like the 3-in-1 shampoo bar since I have the ingredients.

I never needed extra care other than the Wen before I lived in Florida ~ maybe it's the super harsh hard water 🤷🏼‍♀️ I had soft water in Arkansas, which is when I started using Wen. Then I started looking for alternatives to save some money and there were a couple at Sally's Beauty Supply that said "compare to Wen", but they never seemed to condition enough and I always went back to the original, which I buy off eBay now 😂 but even that's getting too expensive with the shipping costs. Not sure which way I'm going to go from here because I do know my hair needs extra rich deep conditioning that rinses clean so my hair doesn't look like a stringy mess 😕

Made and tried an overnight hair mask from swiftcraftymonkey. Don't think I've ever felt my hair this soft! Definitely something I'll keep doing every other week or so!
Like @Zing I have the ingredients for shampoo and conditioner bars and I'm tempted to make them after hearing of his success...
Could you link me (or say the name of the specific) overnight hair mask? I'd be very curious to purchase the recipe and try it if it's still available. Thank you :)

I used this one from swiftcraftymonkey but I also have my eye on this one from humblebee and me. The SCM recipe is simpler.
I would just leave out what I don't have from the water phase and just add more water up to 100%.

Always happy to share! 😊

Thank you so much! Love this, I’ll see if I have the supplies to whip one of them up tonight.
