I have just been running(or rather slowly walking:crazy:) on empty for the last couple of months! Just seriously exhausted. I had been wondering......seriously, whats up with that?! I am behind on everything "Spring" this year. I had to go to the Dr to get a referral renewed and started talking to him about it. I wondered if it was my thyroid, since I had half of mine removed about 1 1/2 years ago. But when they called to tell me blood test results.......lo & behold......by B12 was WAY WAY LOW!!!! I had already been taking a B12 supplement for 6months. How weird is that? I started reading what foods have B12 in them and I guess I just don't really eat too much of them. Guess it is time for me to be eating more shellfish, fish, eggs, beef and liver:eh:. The Dr had me up my dose of the tablet and also start on the sublingual B12 that is a liquid that goes under your tongue for a minute before you swallow it. I hope this works or I am going to have to insist that he gives me a shot. I HAVE to get some things done around here! LOL!

I had to take B vitamin shots as a kid and still take a daily supplement. Doesn't keep me from dragging but it could be worse. Hope you have more energy soon.

Thanks Ruthie.

BTW this actually seems to be working. Maybe I will get to make some soap soon.

My mom's body couldn't process vitamin b-12 in pill or liquid form so she had to have the shot. She kept trying to give me a shot too, lol she was so strange sometimes. =) the shot did help her though. Glad the liquid is working for you!

There are some people if they have pernicious anemia cannot process b12 so they have to get the shot.

That made me laugh. Aren't parents funny. And I really have to try not to think any of my health problems will be passed on to my girls:shifty:. But fortunately I don't stick my head in the sand about the possibility of it. I just try not to talk about that around them. Unfortunately we recently found out that my oldest(14) DOES already have mild scoliosis and degenerative disc disease. (Sigh) I'm just glad we found out now instead of when she was an adult like I was and I had already done damage to mine that could have been avoided.

Is the liquid your taking (pictured) by prescription or can it be picked up at the drug store?

It is an over the counter vitamin supplement. I got it at my local Walgreens. But you probably could get it wherever you buy vitamins. Its just in the vitamin section next to the B vitamin tablets.

While it is helping some......its just not enough, fast enough. I finally called the dr office this morning and asked them to get me the stuff to inject. I need some energy like LAST MONTH!!! LOL!

Funny enough I finally looked up reasons why someone would even have a B12 deficiency. One of the common reasons is Celiac. HUH! Who would have thunk it!!! At least that explains it.
