my favorite (as always) was the "ok crap" moment :p  i could feel your anxiety level rise :)

great job!

be careful with those pitchers, though. i had one that once heated oils were in it, split right across the bottom.

Yeah I'm not using the pitchers anymore for the soap mixing. I like it for the lye water though because it's so deep. It's seems safer to me somehow.

i do, too. I started using a tupperware kool-aid pitcher, as it was thicker on the bottom. i also use a whisk, as it doesn't splash as much.

but, i also am a black sheep with my safety habits

great job on the vid :) it was fun to watch. kinda like i came over to make soap with ya :)

**swoon Edward**

haha, I'm not allowed to swoon. I'm happily married :)

Swoon away! We may be married but we're not dead! (well I guess Edward is lol) Twilight is not just for teenagers! I love the books. I'm 39 and read everything. lol Need to make a vamp soap.

But you weren't here to tell me "stop mixing so damn much, it's going to seize!"

:D

I wouldn't call that a seize, it looks like the EOs accelerated trace. A seize would be a giant clump of soap, no stick blending possible.

I liked your videos, you are fun to watch!

Aw...thanks hem06. I think you're right about it not being seized. Now that I've done a few more batches, I see that the soap does thicken up quite quickly after adding E/O and F/O, etc.

I made coffee soap last night with a bit of soap saved to put over the top and I didn't panic when it was quite thick in the container when I went back to it-- I just mixed it up a bit and poured it on and it was fine.

I think I just panicked a bit on that beer soap. It was definitely way past pouring stage though. It flopped out into the mold...LOL!
