Using Infused Oils for Scent

Unfortunately no. The scent doesn't survive the process.
Darn.
So there is no way to pull this off? Maybe superfatting 5% at the end and using the infused oil? Would that work?
I don't think it would matter when you added the oils. The lye is still active and will take what it wants. Therefore no scent. At least that's been my experience.

You could do HP and then add the superfat (infused oils) after saponification.

I also tried to an experiment with a triple fold lemon infusion that went in so increadibly lemony smelling but completely disappeared by the time the soap hit the mold.

HP might work. Might. Maybe. CP certainly very little hope.
I made a batch of pumpkin seed oil soaps, HP with just this as the superfat. The scent lasted a wee while, but after 4 weeks was fairly light. At 8 weeks it just smelled mostly of soap

Citrus oils are notorious for fading. Lemongrass holds well , but it's not a citrus!!
Lemongrass smells just like fresh squeezed lemons to me. I use it a great deal. I am experimenting with orange EO added to litsea EO in CP to see if I can get it to stick. I will let you know.
The lye don't lie ... but don't forget the story that the math has to tell.
Let's say you want to fragrance your soap at a rate of 3% per pound of oils and your recipe calls for 1000 g of base oils. The fragrance dose would thus be: 1000 * 3 / 100 = 30 grams.
If you infuse an oil and use it, say, as a 5% superfat after the HP cook, you would be adding 1000 * 5 / 100 = 50 g of superfat for this recipe.
Is it realistic to infuse 30 g of fragrance (citrus oil or what have you) in 50 g total of infused oil?
