I'm trying to figure out how many of you do it. I've been wondering how so many of you are able to work outside the home, and/or work at home and deal with all the joys of home and family, possess an encyclopedic amount of soapmaking knowledge, contribute to the forum and oh yea, make soap! :?

Please tell me that I am not the only one sitting in a messy house, avoiding a mountain of paperwork and thinking about the easiest way to make supper!

I work a parttime job, have 2 of my three teenagers at home, a very supportive husband, and I still feel that there is never enough time in the day!

Darn this addiction!

It's your perception of what you wish YOU wish could do because you percievein in your mind that we can do all that. But.....the truth is you have never asked us. I know you haven't asked us or you wouldn't be dreaming the impossible!!

HUGS :)

And I forgot to add that I only do cp, not mp, not lotions, not candles, not .....

(talking myself down off the ledge now)

LOL, let's just say I'm unemployed and have gained 10 lbs since January from sitting at my computer nearly all day! Hah! If I had a full time job I doubt I'd have the time or energy to be on the forums so often or make 1/2 as much soap as I do!

You're not! My house is a disaster, the paperwork keeps piling up, as does the goat, dog and horse sh!t, and dinners are getting less creative daily! So no, you are DEFINITELY NOT alone!!!

hear hear! my kitchen should be closed down due to unsanitary conditions....actually the only time i clean up alittle is when i'm laying down paper to protect the counters for my soap making. the floor should have been mopped two weeks ago and my husband is getting very tired of eating pizza sandwichs and soup. i have two teenagers who i love to death but helping mom out is not number one on their to do list.....

but, hubby did look proud when he saw my funnel swirl soaps :)

Mine just groans when I try something new...let alone talk about it! Glad you all understand!

I "try" to get the stuff done around the house first . I don't have any kids at home , so that helps. Then I am free to soap to my hearts content. I don't make soap everyday though. I do research soap making most days.

I think making soap should come first though..

Thanks all! You have definately made me feel better about my 10 lb. weight gain and the fact that I will never win the "Suzy Homemaker" award!

When it comes down to the end, if I had to choose, I'd rather have people say "Man, that woman could really make a bar of soap" rather than "boy could she keep a clean house." :)

yep , ever seen a gravestone that says "here lies Jane her house was immaculate".But if you make awesome soap , people would really miss ya.

If a clean house is a path through the main rooms and a healthy dinner is MacDonalds I'm doing great ;)

Actually it's nice to know I'm not the only one struggling, I've got a 2 yr old and 7 yr old and they can make a big mess in an hour. I ditched cleaning today to make 260 bath bombs and try out some bubble bars for the first time. Way more fun than cleaning.
