well so far I made a choc mint (dh's fav) and tangerine. One was cphp and the other OHP. Gonna make some more soap today, just have to decide on what scents.
I'm planning to do about 4 batches of soap - not sure on the scents yet as I have lots to choose from!
I'm also going to dig into my new candle making supplies! I'm just doing tarts for now but got some awesome FO's in for them and can't wait to play with everything!
making "coconut cow", a pure white cp bar with coconut milk and evaporated milk in place of 50% of the lye water
lard, coconut oil, olive and safflower, shea and castor
I'm going to try making my first liquid soap today - then I need to get more deodorants, lotion sticks, whipped body butter, castille, & Shaving Soap....
Fortunately I have a few days to get all of this done...whew....
I'm not making soap this weekend, no room to cure it at this point in time. But I'm gonna make my sewing machine hum, gotta make cool wraps, for the flea market tommorrow and Monday. The weather forecast is for rain, hope it doesn't.
I am going to try to get a grapefruit , lemon, orange scent with matching swirls done . Plus try some sugar scrubs and a another batch of whipped body butter.
just poured a 1/2 batch of pot swirled soap, annetto powder, tdo to color the background and my first try ever w/ a lab color, lime green. the fo is the infamous cilantro pinapple! yum....i hope it turns out decent. will post pix....i have to work tomorrow  but then i am off monday and this coming friday as well so i hope to catch up soaping.
i poured my first ever lip balms....mint. they tasted great! but i have to find a better way to pour them, it's quite awkward the way i've been doing so far....
i have lots of powders, colors and scents to try...not sure what to do first. need to ponder....
For a 100% Olive Oil soap I would use a 40% lye solution, otherwise you will be stirring it for days. (and days )
(Sorry can't remember who asked that question!)

ChrissyB that would be me. To do that I check the box Lye Concentration on Soap calc and enter 40 right? What about the water....... that was my main Q actually... wanted to know if 33% water would be right doing it the regular way. So it would trace faster.
I've been busy making lots of rebatch soap with interesting fragrances! I also need to finish my labels for the soap. Going to see if I can make some lip balms and that's it.
yesterday I made the fisherman's soaps - the anise swirled with green clay, and the lemongrass with coffee. this morning I made a 4# log of my kitchen soap = also with coffee but this time with Bert's Heaven Scents Andes Thin Mint FO. These are designed to be highly cleansing and the fishermans' to be used in salt water so they are 100% coconut oil.
Tomorrow I do 3 different lip balm recipes cuz I"m in a swap and am taking the opp'y to decide which is the best
Tomorrow, also, I'm working on scrubs for a summer scrub swap. Probably a solid scrub bar because I cannot find my jars!!
I'm all happy cause I just picked up 100# of coconut oil. I LOVE getting the coconut oil in!
Val, yes change the lye solution % to 40 for an all olive oil soap. All olive oil will take ages to trace and to harden, but if you work with a 40% sol. it will trace much faster and harden quicker to. You should be able to unmould in 24 hours.
Carebear your fisherman's soap sounds lovely.
