Attempt one. I drop-poured two colors which were supposed to be shades of pink into an uncolored base. Trace was too thick, so the colors only went partway through the depth of the soap, and spread over and covered the uncolored base on top. Still turned out pretty, but not what I was trying for.

Second picture, left to right - the inside of the soap, and the two top bars. The back/bottom of the loaf was solidly uncolored.

Attempt two. Trace was a little thinner, I got the colors closer to what I was aiming for, and they dropped much better. Still barely went halfway through. Last picture shows the two top bars on the left, the back/bottom of one bar on the top right, and below that is the inside of the soap.

I have a new mold with three dividers I'm itching to try out, but it'll have to wait until all these apples are processed!

Thank you, @Mobjack Bay, and all the participants for letting me in on the conversation and fun. I learned a lot and am still learning. All the soaps everyone made are amazing. I love all the entries and all the nonentries. Such beautiful colors and patterns!

Here is my non entry soap, I forgot to get a shot of it before cutting. No time to make another, I feel blessed to have made this one after spending several days sneezing and blowing my nose, because of histamine reactions.

Love all your entries!
Your colors and feathers are perfect! I'm sorry you forgot to take the pre-cut picture. That's a disappointment! Hope you are feeling all the way better soon!

The entry soaps are looking good and even those non-entry oopsie soaps are attractive in their own ways.

@Cindy D. very nicely done!

I’ve had an unexpectedly busy week at work and will not be getting the survey out tonight. I hope to get it out by the end of the day tomorrow at the latest. Until then, study the entry soaps carefully and be prepared to vote when the time comes 😍

6. Barefoot Farm Girl😰😳🤪 as long as I can talk my dh into making the soap mold, I can’t cut a straight line to save my life!
7. Momma Hoot - okay, I think I have enough time to give this a go. I'm in as well.
8. AliOop - I think I made it before the entry thread closed... it was close!

Here is my non-entry soap. As you can probably tell from the top of the soap in the mold, for some reason, this batch accelerated like crazy. So no, I didn't texture that top - those are the peaks that formed on their own from the swirling process. 😂 When I removed the dividers, a lot of very firm soap came out with them - it was too thick to scrape back into the mold because it just sat on top of the soap! Then, each section stood up on its own with a divider-sized gap between the one next to it. I had to bang it down hard on the floor to combine them. 😅

I was trying to color the yellow and red like fall leaves and the blue of the northern sky. Thank you so much! Hopefully I can figure out what's safest to eat.

Ohhhhh, pretty! May I ask what that blue is? 🥰
It's BBs blue slushy mica. I only own 3 micas so far 🤣 all from BB. Hoping to change that at some point.

I'm loving seeing everyones soaps. They are all so pretty!

It's gorgeous!

I spent years hating multi grain and seed bread not knowing why. Found out last year when I tried to make cookies with flax seed that I'm allergic to it. Only took me 20+ years to find out! 😂😭
Hopefully you can figure things out soon and eat safely!
