Thank you, he has talent! I thought of taking a series of photos of him with his chainsaw and a loaf of woodgrain soap...
Posting my poor attempts here before I forget. Going to the aquarium tomorrow with friends who are in town.
I get that woodgrain isn't my thing. Seeing as out of 6 attempts, the only decent soap was the FO accelerated one that had to be plopped into the mould.
I liked this blue colour but the grain just wasn't distinct enough.
More rotting wood soap.

I posted my entry. Not sure why the images are not showing up on my end only a few. Should I do it over?
When I clicked on the icons, the pictures showed up. They look good!

@DeeBeeSNJ - I see your pics but if it helps, when you insert your photo, you have a few options.
As is (like yours now) where people see a tiny picture to click on to enlarge
Or
Left side of photo image says “insert” and you can pick “thumbnail” (recommended for most to easily view)

If you choose thumbnail it’s easier for creating the voting survey. Just sayin’…
Wowsers everyone's soaps are amazing. Sorry I couldn't participate I'm to busy renovating my new place and everything is packed away. But ya those are awesome wood grain soaps good luck everybody.

So, I figured out that I'm my first attempt I forgot to use my masterbatched lye correctly. So my super fat was like 50% 
I did manage to hold on to some of the batter I poured into an individual mold, then poured out the excess oil after about a week and took pictures just now. It's a really cool fail
