Okay to pre-mix color pigments?

I have some powdered pigments that I always disperse first in water or glycerin before adding to the soap mixture. Instead of mixing a small amount every time I want to color a soap, is it okay to mix up the whole jar of pigment into a big bottle and use only what I need? Will anything happen to the mixture if it sits on the shelf for long period of time?

Well I'd've thought if you mix with water the greeblies would get in sooner or later.Jogged my memory on a couple of posts on the mms blog tho. So maybe not? Hope these help
