I have a square mould that I would like to try the column swirl technique with. However this mould does not have dividers.
Can I 'make' my own dividers using maybe strong cardboard ? Would that have the same effect or could you recommend a suitable alternative ? I am in the UK.
Thanks!

dividers

I'm going to jump in since no one else has. I made a divider for doing mantra swirls in a log mold. The material that I used was quilters' mylar, which I found at Michael's. I found it to be still a bit too floppy, so I wrapped it in duct tape. Since you want the dividers to stay in the soap until it is set, I'm not so sure you would want the pattern from the duct tape left on your soap:)

there are these sock dividers that are plastic, that i have been eyeballing to try for a slab divider. you can trim them down to fit too.
