Wow Rhonda good info. I have a can of hydrogenated palm (looks like Crisco)...how does that factor? And how do I put that in a calculator? TIA

that would be palm oil, I assume you mean the spectrum brand shortening ? If so, yep, just use palm oil in soap calc

Just don't overdo it on the soybean. A little bit makes nice conditioning soap.....a lot makes slimy soft bars that are disgusting to use (ask me how I know)
