My name is Lynda and I would like to start making crafts to sell at various fairs in my area.

I have been collecting beads for jewelry making for 5 years. I have only made very plain necklaces and jean charms for my girls and my sisters wedding necklace.

I have a lot of ideas bouncing around in my head, but when I actually get out the materials, I freeze. I don't have much confidence in my self to creat anything, but am trying to overcome that.

I have thought about different crafts that I would love to start doing, jewelry being at the top of the list, windchimes and yard decorations all made with wire and beads.

So while this is a 'soap making forum' I saw that there are other crafts posted. I looked through a few post and decided that this forum sounds friendly and gives good feedback when asked.

So while I don't make soap, even tho my search on the subject led me here, I look forward to overcoming my craft stage fright and give it my all.

Hi Lynda,

Welcome to the forum! :D

I certainly understand about lack of confidence. I'm the same way. I always feel what I make isn't good enough but I keep trying. Fortunately, my family isn't too picky about what I make.

Are you a member of any jewelry making/craft forums?

Good luck with your goals.

I am not a member of any jewelry making forums.

I found one a few years back, but the atmosphere there was not welcoming.

I have started to turn my basement into an art studio. Sounds more professional than a craft room. LOL

I did talk with a few people that are very crafty and has helped build my confidence in starting again.
