How does this recipe look?

That's essentially what I've done. I wonder if my mixing is poor. I just finished another batch, same work flow And I stirred for probably 20min before I called it quits and poured, after pouring I did notice a light trace. I've been using a small cordless drill with paint stirrer, half way through this batch the battery died so I switched to an electric hand mixer.

Does an immersion stick blender really work that much better?

I would spring for a $19 stick blender from Walmart. You would be surprised what a difference it makes.

I was just reading another post and others have said the rim of cordless drill might not be enough.
