Hi,
I want to make a shampoo bar & I’m curious about which ingredients are good for hair growth (butters, oils, powders, essential oils, etc). I have shea butter, cocoa butter, mango butter, sweet almond oil, olive oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, rhassoul clay, & white kaolin clay. Essential oils that I have are rosemary, lavender, peppermint, tea tree, & frankincense. Help me!

This subject has been discussed many times. To learn more, use the Search function (magnifying glass icon) in the upper right-hand corner of this page. Type in "Shampoo Bar", tick the "Titles Only" box, and then hit "search".

Haha @artemis We must have been typing at the same time. You just squeaked in ahead of me. "Good advice is better given twice."

Ironically, I did this and seem to get a lot of threads saying exactly what this thread is saying ("Do a search"). Hopefully, the tabs I have open will have some real information in them.😄😄

I am too impatient to wait for an answer to a question. I often get my answers faster when I do a search. Then, if I don't find it, I ask. And wait.

Traditionally used or newly promoted clays or oils etc. can be fun additions but won't make the hair grow.

Harsh, drying shampoos and color or straightening treatments can lead to breakage, so milder hair care would do less of it.

Once you find a formula that you like, scent and color as you please.
