Hi everyone,
I am a coffee roaster from NZ and I have started selling beans at a few markets and decided I wanted to make something else made with coffee and thought soap could be great. ( I realise it could be sometime before my experiments are good enough to sell, but you have to start somewhere!) I used to cook for a living and miss it, and one day at the library I saw a book called the soap chef and thought why not ! At least I wont put on any kg's trying out my creations. I have started getting all my supplies together and I want to basically focus on a coffee based soap. There are so many recipes out there it is hard to know where to start.

Hello and welcome! :D

Coffee themed soap is a good idea. You could have a lot of fun basing your recipes on coffee variations like Espresso, Latte, Cappuccino, Mocha (Salted Caramel Mocha - yum - this could be a salt bar. Of course, Starbuck's might fuss if you used this name.) Also, you just want to make sure if you do a scrub soap that the grounds are super fine. Coffee can be very scratchy in soap.

Kia Ora :D I am a Kiwi girl living in beautiful queensland welcome to the forum......................Coffee Yum yum believe it has great deodorising properties and popular in gardners and mechanics soaps!!!!!!!!! Looking forward to seeing you around

Thanks for the advice about how fine to grind the coffee. I hadn't thought of that.
