I just joined the forum. I would say I'm amazed that there is a forum for soap makers, but it's 2020 so I'm not. Lol. I am an amateur soap and candle maker. I'm an environmentalist and extreme lover of recycling. So far I have made three batches of soap (enough for an entire year of washing) in three different fragrances (lemon grass, patchouli/sandalwood, cinnamon). I render all my own fat.
I've also started mixing bacon grease with wax for candles. I'm rather new to all of it. All I know is there are a ton of free resources that can be repurposed into useful household items.
