I am fairly new at soap making. I started making it to see first if I could do it, and second may be to make a little extra income on the side. I work at a hospital and brought my first samples in and WOW. I had people wanting to order.
So now I havev invested in an awesome soap mold. It holds 36 bars and they pop out fairly easily and can get them out of the mold in 24 hours to put out for aging. I have ordered my first fragrance oils off e-bay. They are pretty easy to work with. I then did a search for the cheapest FO and found a site that was really cheap - so was the oils unfortunately. I am not even sure I can use them in other crafts. The oils had cool names that would go well with my soap collection but created my first flop! I wanted to bawl. The soap started seizing up the minute I put my FO in. I quickly put it in the mold and packed it in to prevent air pockets. Actually the soap still looks unique and smells great. We are going to use it at home and I'll sell it at a discount. We call it Lumpy Butt Naked. The FO is called Butt Naked.
