Has anyone ever tried using body splash or body mist in place of FO or EO in their soap making batches? I was thinking of trying it myself in future soap batches but I don't know if the frangrance will be potent enough to make it worth my while. Someone let me know.

f/o

splashes and colognes contain alcohol and other adulterants that do not do well is c/p or rtcp soaps. i dont think they would be strong enough, either.

dont know how they would react in m/p soap, but would hazard a guess that they wouldnt do well there either.

if you are looking for a particular fragrance and cant find a selller, try www.fragranceoilfinder.com

f/o are specifically designed for soaps. you have a much better chance of your batch turning out well.

purchase from a reliable source-there are many recommended in this forum

can't speak to MP except to strongly suspect it would be too weak.

In CP, the alcohol will make the soap seize.

I am fairly new to the soap making and wonder what mp and cp mean in your post?

MP is Melt & Pour soap - you buy a product that you can melt down easily, either on stovetop or in the microwave, scent & color as you wish, and pour into molds.

CP (also HP) soaps you make from mixing oils with lye to cause a chemical reaction resulting in soap.
