FO and EO usage rate for Salt Soap

Been surfing the inter web and reading about salt bars and I came across a link from lovinnsoap.com for a couple of recipes. What I found interesting is that it said the usage rate they used for fragrance or essential oil was based on the combined weight of the oils and salt. Has anyone else done or heard this. Does the salt nullify the strength of the FO or EO’s?

I use weight of oils when calculating FO for my soaps. I don't have but a couple FO's whose usage rate is lower than 6% the majority are well over 6%. So, with that being said, I like a stronger scented soap as do my customers. I use 7-7.5% in my salt bars. I have found that the salt does cause the scent to be lighter in many cases. You need to test to see what you prefer.
