Tammy, I think they are beautiful! You give me hope for my upcoming first try. I looked on Amazon, cheap sets but some bad reviews on breaking and they don’t seem to have caps. Saw a video with some handmade ones pulling with 3 wires. The Etsy set is a little pricey. I might try making one just for kicks.
@Tammyfarms @TashaBird after some research on pricing I ended up ordering from wild plantica, they seemed to have the best selection and a reasonable price. Now to find some time to play!!

Look up kaleidoscope soap. Lots of tutorials out there. I bought my tools here. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1449482008/. She has several options. It’s great fun and so hard to wait until it’s time for the cut. Every soap looks slightly different.
I love the Wild Plantanica discs/tools as well. Also, the owner, Chass, is exceptionally responsive and good to work with.

You've all inspired me to give this a try. I've been super busy making enough inventory for holiday markets and I like having something new and fun to look forward to doing when the season's all done. :hippo:

@TashaBird how does Winter Wonderland behave for you? I bought some a year or two ago, but now the fragrance calculator on Nurture's website said the FO is not suitable for CP. I really want to use it up, it smells amazing.

It works great, same as always. IRFA (sp?) changed their recommendation, and it I a recommendation, not a rule. NS says if it worked for you before and you want to use it, that's an ok choice. I used it before, it works great, I use it the same as I always have.

Thank you for explaining that to me! Would you be comfortable sharing the old usage rates before the IFRA changed? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

It's $120 US, that's for the molds and several discs with the rods and everything you need, plus tutorial and recipe. It's well worth it from my experience.
Thank you, at today's rate that's $184.65 AUD, plus postage, I'm not in the US, I think that is too expensive.

Ok, today is the day!! I got my molds and discs from Wild Plantica, @ $100. I’m using one that mounts the disc on the side and one that is in the middle. I watched a YouTube video of the owner (I assume) from Wild Plantica and she poured right down the center rod, so I want yo check it out in comparison. I’m going to use the oven to force gel which I’ve never done before (goats milk previously) and I’m making without goats milk. Wish me luck!!
