I seen a stunning two tone soap and within it was a prefect circle of color! How was that done? I know it was a hot process

here is how I think it was done so lol if I am way off giggles are welcome

I think the first layer of color was put in mold

a round tube was used to mold the circle - it was removed from round mold and placed in on top of layer one then layer two was added

am I close at all??

Yea, that is probably how they did it. you can make lots of shapes by molding ahead of time and then embedding into a new batch. You can also get circles by doing soap balls ahead of time and embedding those, but of course they end up a variety of circle sizes depending on where the cut is.

My guess, without seeing it, is that the round soap was either HP or CP that was prepared beforehand, which was then embedded into the HP soap.
