Day dreaming soap...is this normal?

Making soap opens up a whole world of color, scent and design! I find myself lying in bed at night(sorry hubby) daydreaming about the next batch of soap I can make. I think of the colors I will use and the scents I will mix...should I swirl or should I layer...what does the scent look like in color...should I do a loaf or a slab...awe the possiblilities. Is this normal or do I need an intervention.

It's definitely to be expected by all folk who wander down the path of soap making.

I spend hours at night ... when I should be sleeping ... reading about fragrances ... researching if anyone has used them ... planning how I'd like them to look ... thinking about whether I need to make 'soap shapes' too add ... sometimes think I'm like a site manager ... planning the order I need to do things ... lol!

Hehe it's like you described me, I'm always thinking about soap...my next soap, oh and I'd like to do that, I bet that would be fun, what if i put this in, or I could use that scent, that would be pretty....I talk about it way too much as well and yep a lot of the times at night I'm up at the pc browsing suppliers websites

Totally normal! I have been soaping for 4 years now and I still dream soap at night and in the daytime. Sometimes I put myself to sleep thinking about my next soap batch-to-be.

I just bought 6 bottles of EO on my lunch break. Now I'm trying to decide on a blend I can make for my next batch. Soaping is always on my mind these days. Yes, for me too, everything is a potential mold, scent or color inspiration

i am constantly writing little post it notes to myself about soap and blends and thinking about how i want my soap to look...it's consuming. Like right now, I should be working but here I am thinking about soap!

Thats why i love this forum, so many soap stories to read and share.

My excited chatter about how a fragrance behaves, or the type of swirl and colour I'm planning on next, just causes a glazed over look with family and friends. Sigh......if only they knew!

And I too dream about it, think about it, google it, watch vids on it, post about it, all the time.

Gosh I'm always thinking about it...my hubby is so polite bless him, I am continuously rambling on and on about soap and scents, he just sits and listens...well I think he's listening lol.
I'm super clean too, always popping in the shower busting to try my soaps out...yes it's a addiction alright.

LOL! I have post-it notes on my kitchen windowsill right now, a spiral note book by my computer which contains my wishlist and project ideas, & my nighttable is toppling over with soap-making books.

And Good-Lord, I just discovered SoapCalc, so I am trying to figure all that out now. I spend ALL my work break time on this forum, or WSP, Brambleberry, Peak...

I feel like a freak at times, because I cannot stop talking about soap. I am quite sure I drive everyone crazy! Good to know I'm not alone, tho, ha
