Daughter is Home!

My excitement is still guarded but Cheryl got home yesterday. Her bloodiest yesterday came back normal, for the first time in almost 4 months. Her scan showed her temporal lobe area clean of infection after 4 surgeries to clean out infection. Her kidneys are working great after 9 dialysis treatments.

So I am praying this infection is finally under control. She is on an immune building medication, a new Uber strong antibotic. And starts back on her IVIG (Immunoglobulin) treatments Wed. Hopefully her body will keep fighting all this, and now getting better.

After everything she has been through, over and over again, I certainly understand being guardedly enthusiastic. But perhaps you can, as @not_ally said, take a breath, and we can all hope and pray that this is the beginning of real recovery.

Thank you everyone. IVIG treatments start today. She is still home, which is a plus, she is still just tired which is to be expected, but so far as she has told me no other symptoms.
