Since we are currently traveling in our RV, I wanted to create a small compact break down
Soap drying rack. I purchased a 1x3x72 piece of pine and some 3/8” dowels.
Made 3x3x1” squares. Drilled 3/8” holes.
I can set these up to dry soap. If we need to move, the size will fit into our sink for travel.
I did not glue in the dowels to allow for breakdown for storage. Since I’m new to all of this, does anyone see anything wrong with this idea?

What a creative idea! Be aware that wood can contain substances that leach into the soap. If you can put down a piece of parchment paper between the soap and the dowels, that would be ideal.
Thank you for that insight.
I will be sealing the wood with polyurethane to avoid transfer of any substances.
