What do you all think about using a combination of cetyl alcohol and stearic acid during dilution to thicken up liquid soap during dilution? Does it have any benefit over using only stearic acid (gentleness, conditioning properties)? Or am I just spinning my wheels 😂

I have been experimenting using Irish Lass’s creamy soap method with a different recipe.

I've never tried cetyl alcohol in LS. My best guess is that you would need something to keep it from separating. The stearic always separates a bit on me as it is, even with PS80 added.

If you do try it, please report back - I'd be super interested to hear how it worked out!
