So, I am thinking about making soap with some chocolate and all I can find here is already sweetened. I searched for a recipe and each one says unsweetened chocolate. I know I can use cacao, but I would like to add some chocolate too. I know that i have to be careful when sugar (or honey or milk) are used, so the soap doesn't overheat. Other than that, is there any other reason why not use sweetened chocolate? Also, if I make swirly soap and only one part has sugar in it, is that a problem? Will I get funky looking soap because of this?

It depends how much you use. the swirl may get hotter than the rest.
unsweetened baking cocoa works the best, and you don't need much. If you use chocolate, the sugar and additional fat will interact with your soap. How much it reacts depends on how much you use.

If you do it, I'd suggest you do a small batch to get the feel for it.

I have used the semi sweet baking chocolate and it was fine. I left out the sugar that I usually add to the soap.
