Built a cutter.

I was tired of getting crooked/thin bars of soap, so i started hunting for a cutter. Wow you can spend a boatload of coin on one thats for sure. I liked the cutter used on the North Shore Soaps video's so I based mine off of theirs. I waited to post until I tried it, cuts easily and makes perfect 1 1/4 inch bars! all for the grand total of about $20. I just place my loaf on top and push it threw with another piece of wood.

I think you can start making this and make it a sideline. How did you make it? Sorry... I am not a really art person.. so I cannot imagine how this is done..

The screw eyes have nuts on the bottom side. I just tighten them with a wrench till they sound nice. I'll try to post a photo of the bottom tomorrow.

Is it tall enough for loaves with big, fluffy tops? Guess you can always make one tall enough. Thinking about making one, but I'm sure I would get the strings in crooked.

I like that the strings are under the soap, every time I watch a video and see people pushing the strings down on the soap I get a bit nervous about a string breaking and snapping in a face. Seen too many guitar strings break, but of course, they were being used on a guitar. At least with this, the soap would be between the string and a face. Really ingenious!
