At $150 for five pounds, I need an alternative for cocoa butter in drizzle and for my bath bombs/lip balms. I want to save what I have left for my oatmeal, milk and honey soap.

Do you have any alternate suggestions? I was reading palm kernel flakes but I also saw they aren't soluble in water.

Yeah my sister lives in Alberta. She was going to come visit in May and I was really looking forward to it. Then the election happened and the price exploded two days after for plane tickets and now she's canceled. I'd love to have bought some things and just had them delivered to her to bring them to me. She and my cousin were going to come for my birthday and we were going to have lunch on the Creole Queen or the Natchez river boats. There's stuff I can only get in Canada that I can't get here.

Soapers choice has it back in stock at $158 for ten pounds as long as you do not need organic. (I am sorry, but I can't keep up with where everybody lives so I do know if you can buy from them or not.)

That sounded pretty exciting, but unfortunately, shipping would add $39 to my order. :(

Kokum butter from WSP would be much more in my price range.

That is way higher than soapers choice as well. Unless you would buy very little. Btw, if you do order from soapers choice they have a page on shipping prices that explains how to buy with cheaper shipping prices. I think it is 4 or 6 items like that are about the same price as one. I always order several items at one time.

If you need/want 44 pounds, jedwards might be for you
I would suggest extensive research before buying from them. I do not want to slander a legit company and I do not remember for sure, but I think they are a scam company as in possibly selling fake exotic oils or something like that. And just now when I looked them up again there was nothing good about them and a lot of bad. So recommending caution!

I've had mostly positive experiences with them. And I love all the raw material I purchased from them

Unfortunately, I live in an area (Idaho) where the shipping for Soaper's Choice is astronomical. So the prices always look great at first glance, but I've tried adding items, and subtracting items, to no avail. No matter what I do, their shipping to my address typically adds 25-30% to the overall cost. As a result, they are one of the highest-priced options every single time. It's a bummer, because they have such a great reputation for quality. I've purchased their oils from local destashes, and they have always been excellent.

@justsomeguy years ago, I purchased from Jedwards for group buys and was quite happy with their quality and prices. But I don't need 44 lbs of anything, lol. In fact, I would like to shed about 44 lbs of "fatty acids," IYKWIM, but that's a whole 'nother topic. ;)
