I noticed a big difference in color when using white sandalwood powder when putting it in the oven. The dark brown ones were put in the oven and the other ones I just left out. So I guess if you want a lighter color skip gelling it. These are from the same batch.

I tried the lather of my sandalwood soap last night wow the lather is really neat this thick cream is coming out of the bar when you lather it. You know 58 grams of white sandalwood powder in a 3 pound batch I think was alot it was like a little more than half a bag (sandwich Ziploc bag) of white sandalwood powder anyways I think the sandalwood powder made a really nice thick creamy lather with big bubbles that pop I also used sorbitol and sodium citrate. Anyways even though the white sandalwood powder didn't scent my soap it still made a really nice soap.
