Almonds and Oranges

Made this cake scented with orange, and colored with orange peel powder and a touch of turmeric. There is sweet almond oil in the recipe and I like the way the almonds look on the soap, along with the dried oranges.

Thanks everyone, for the kind words.

It has been interesting to have this setting on my table for the last few days. We have had several visitors stop by.... So far all of the men have commented on the impracticality of it, and all the women have gushed over how pretty it is.

I agree with both points--once you are ready to use it, the slices do not fit real well in your hand. I am using my first slice from my first cake now and it is awkward to hold, but just cutting the slice in half fixed the problem.
