Looking for advice!
I’m not a frequent Etsy buyer - but I made a purchase a month ago and my package disappeared en route from India on November 5. The last tracking on Etsy showed it arrived Nov 5 in either Montreal (which is over 3500 kms from my home in Alberta), or going back to Zurich. The tracking number isn’t in Canada Post’s (CP) system so the package didn’t make it to a CP outlet. (Nov 5 was 10 days before CP went on strike so I do t believe this is strike related)
The vendor has not been helpful - “don’t worry!” is her response.
So today I tried to open a case per Etsy
policy and I was told the item was delivered! Before I could ask for details about the “delivery” (which I don’t believe happened as I’ve been home since November 5 - and the tracking still shows “in transit” - the chat was cut off and I can’t get back in!
Anyone have a suggestion for next steps? I can’t get into the “open case” option on Etsy (and you can guess how I am feeling right now about this company 😖😡)

Lacking any experience with Etsy on such issues, my only suggestion is to open a credit card dispute with your credit card issuer. They are typically pretty good about reversing those charges.

Ok, just thought of one more thing... leave an extremely negative review for the seller, including the details about your attempts to resolve it with Etsy.

@AliOop good suggestions! I hadn’t thought to connect with my credit card company. I have left a very negative review we the seller. Being told “don’t worry” and then being ghosted is ridiculous! (I noted the review was posted but it is buried at the bottom of the vendor’s reviews 🙄)

Well, I cannot be the only person who sets the filter to pull up all the one- and two-star reviews to read, looking for common themes. ;)
