Advice on storing herbs, colorants, seeds, etc.

I just got a boatload of herbs, seeds, colorants, clays, etc, etc to play around with and they are all stored in individual baggies. Does anyone have any advice on a better way to store all these goodies...bottles, jars? Is airtight best? Or are the baggies ok? Any suggestions are appreciated.

I store my colorants in tin jars that I purchased from Michaels for $.99 and I normally store my herbs in ziplock bags. I have a foodsaver so I use that and it takes all of the air out of the bags but I would think a normal ziplock should do the trick.
