    I hate moving

Shudder. I never moved as a child, okay once. I am a walking hurricane by nature; organization does not suit me. But it must be done. The place I am hoping for has laminate flooring. No more vacuuming.

    I hate moving

When I move I throw out half my clothes and anything in my closet that I haven't looked at in the last 6mths. Hasn't failed me yet. Of course this is the third time in two years that we'll be moving so I might be lower on junk. Maybe.

    I hate moving

Thank you. It's a newly renovated apartment building, whereas right now we live in a basement suite. Fingers are crossed. I'm just a little stressed since finding the place is my job. Roomie handles stress and moving less well than I do.

    I hate moving

I'm damn sure that is the law here. I'm glad on one side that we will be here, more likely than not, I am not glad on the side that I need my sleep. We have an appointment to see an apartment on the weekend so I'd love to get that one. (We'd be able to move out earlier.

    I hate moving

Roomie and I gave our notice for the 1st of April. Considering there are rats, and neighbours from hell, this one inevitable. But the dang landlord wants to have been coming into the suite when we aren't here, or at least that is his theory. The thing is, we will be here. We work graveyards so...

oops, my poor soap looks ill lol

I'm with Holly on this one, though I don't use WSP molds, my silicone molds come from the baking section at Superstore (Canada). Never had any pox marks or anything on my soap.

    February Soaps

Thank you both! My mother foundly remembers showering outside while she lived in Nigeria for a few years. That won't be happening at her house (right off the highway.) If you've been watching the Olympics, Sea to Sky is the highway between Vancouver and Whistler. It has a beautiful view...

Adding 1 oz of oil to HP

It doesn't make a difference if you add it at the beginning or end. I've done both, there is zero difference between the soaps. I can't explain the chemistry, this is just my personal experience. I think that some saponification is still on going as the soap cools and as a result the oil added...

Adding 1 oz of oil to HP

I find that it takes out some of the harshness of the soap, so conditioning is probably a good word for it. I use higher sf's to prevent the high levels of cleansing I like from being too harsh.

Adding 1 oz of oil to HP

When you are using a soapcalc, it has a default sf. Adding that extra percentage of oils, at the beginning, or end makes no difference. Hp is no exception. Although admittedly I do always do higher sf's. I like 8-10% for normal recipes and 20% for pure coconut. If you add extra oil at the...

What dog is the most beautiful?

Considering I love wolves, I am biased towards the first.

    Klepto animals

Oh no! That's awful. How did you explain that? My cats aren't destructive, thank God. Just a bit stupid and defintely devious. One of the most stressful pet situations I have ever encounter was involving my sister's kitten Desdemona. The little twit swallowed a thread and needed. My mother...

    Klepto animals

The worst thing Folly has ever done is stolen twenty dollars from my rent. I had to go out and get more money out. I found the money a week later in the cat house. Ferrets sound adorable but frustrating. And what a weird minature horse.

    Seasons/Scents

Autumn is my favorite time of the year. Spicy cinnamon, firewood, pumpkin. Fresh rain.

    Storing bubble bars

Thanks, I think I'll try that since I was just given a kitchen saver, shrink wrap, thing.

Adding 1 oz of oil to HP

I don't leave my sf for the end. I calculate it and put it in with the rest of my oils at the beginning for the process. If I need to add a little extra oil at the end to stir in a powder, I don't bother weighing it, I just use what I need, which is never even an ounce.

    All Natural Sugar Scrub?

That's what I was thinking. What is "bad" to one soapers is not necessarily bad to most everyone else.(Then again, I embrace red 40, and SLSa which many bath and body people see as evil so shrug.)

    Storing bubble bars

I've finished fiddling with my bubble bar (or bubble bomb) recipe after much experimentation and now I find myself with oh, maybe 30 or so bars from my different, and I now have no idea how to store them to protect them until I can use them up for fork them off on others. Any suggestions? I...

    Chocolate Soap???

I used baker's chocolate a while back. I added 3 oz of white chocolate and 2 oz of unsweetened dark chocolate ppo. The scent carried through completely. The soap smells like cake. This was hp so I don't know if the scent would carry through in cp.

    Oil and Butter Suggestions?

I've had a worse time with male doctors than female doctors. I think a younger doctor would be better. Most of the older doctors are flippant about PCOS, as least the ones I have seen. I'm hoping that my gp can get me in to see the same gyno a friend of mine sees for her PCOS, she's been having...
