    Soap Cutting Issue

Before I bought a wire cutter I used a fishing line that I tied around 2 pens, that was way better than my sharpest thin knife. Kveðja María

Tiny zappy beads on top of my soap

I cut and licked the whole log and it is zap free on the inside and no lye pockets. I found an older post from you where you wrote about soap being hygroscopic and being as curious as I am I had to google it and it was very interesting,, Kveðja María

Tiny zappy beads on top of my soap

I will try to post some pictures tonight, but my recipe was 49% olive 24 coconut 24 sheabutter 3% jojoba Silk, sugar, lavender eo and powder oxides. 6% superfat, I use a premix of 33% lye solution and it was 641grams. for my 1600gr batch. I have some lavender buds on top so you can't...

Tiny zappy beads on top of my soap

I think it is because I insulated my mold a little bit to much, is it going to be a rebatch victim or can I just rince it off.. The inside of the soap is not lye heavy and it just partially gelled, I use a log mold and I made it 24 hours ago. Kveðja María

    how long?

I would think in a warm dry room the water would evaporate quicker but in a warm humid room it would maybe start sweating, I don't think they would melt though, I have soaps in various places in my home and I see no real difference in the ones I keep in my laundry room and the ones I keep in my...

DOS in orange soaps becomes DWS

    Low bubble numbers

My favorite bars are for the most parts low in fluffy lather and I seem to be the only "tester" that likes it,, I use Soapmaker and my favorite recipe has 3,2 in fluffy lather. Am I the only one that enjoys soap without fierce bubbles? Kveðja María

    gelling versus fridge

Maybe the water is my problem ,,I was trying lard for the first time, and the recipe was. Lard 33% Olive 35% Coconut 25% Castor 7% I usually soap at 33% maybe I should have gone up to 38% ,, I have only been making soap for about 4 months but I feel I am ready to take the next step :lol...

    gelling versus fridge

I just don't have the patience not to gel,,, I did a batch about 2 weeks ago and I gelled half and put the other half in the fridge and I had to wait almost 3 days to unmold and cut the ungelled one, I only have 2 logmolds and one test mold and the thought of missing out on soaping due to "soft...
